Really nice playing man, you're seriously talented. Your control and touch is pretty cool, considering the pressure you were in. Congrats!

You planning on working on that sexy and flashier 1st mvt? Would love to see your take on it

Thanks Milton ;)

I love the first movement, it would be awesome to play it someday but it is not on the schedule at the moment. I appreciate the support! :D

Lovely! Thanks for sharing :)

OT but I just always wonder...Why do people cough so much, especially during the more quiet parts? Are they sending secret messages to the performer? Is it some sort of a ritual? Or can they not wait? I never cough at concerts even though I have asthma...If I had bronchitis too severe to control I just wouldn't go  ::)

Seems to be because people just love irony. Hense why popcorn is combined with loud paper bags at cinemas because that doesn't disturb anyone's experience at all.......

They do it during quiet parts because that is in the natural flow. They are listening during the intense parts, then the music lets up for a moment, and they come bak to reality and cough. Thanks for listening! :)

@pencilart3: this is so good... unbelievable. So good in fact that while I am now listening to Rubinstein's rendition of this great movement (and whole concerto) I always find myself coming back to your recording because of its complete gracefulness, elegance and beauty.

BTW, how long did it take you to learn this movement to this standard (and practising for how long)?
Currently learning:

- Schumann Kreisleriana
- Franck Prelude, Chorale and Fugue
- Xenakis Herma

You are all too kind! Thank you emill :) @daniele I could never compare myself to Rubinstein! But I thank you very much for your kind words. I worked on this by myself over the summer, then I put it away to prepare rep for a competition, then I brought it out a month before the concert. That was a week before the competition that whoever won got to play with the orchestra. Chomaninoff, thank you and I am very grateful to have this recording.

PS. i love how you seem quite humble as well.

Who could be prideful after receiving the unlikely (and perhaps underserved) first prize and then having the opportunity of a life time? ;)
