Favorite number between 1 and 10?
on: April 05, 2016, 02:53:00 AM
Mine is 4.

It sounds stable and dark. It is also the smallest "Not-small" number. Gives me emotional power four some reason (HA! that pun tho).

Adding on, Kurusu Keigo, 4th diary owner in Mirai Nikki is so bad-ass.
Juror 4 in 12 Angry Men, fav juror in play.
First Schubert Impromptu I played: op 90 no 4
Beethoven's 4th piano concerto, my personal favorite concerto all time.

If you accept irrational numbers, my favorite is:

The limit of (1 + 1/n)^n as n approaches infinity less e plus pi

Not everyone accepts irrational numbers.  I think Pythagoras may have drowned a person for suggesting that irrational numbers exist.

My favorite rational number greater than 1 and less than 10 is 9 (= 3 squared) because Beethoven wrote 9 symphonies.  My 2nd favorite rational number in that range is 4 (= 2 squared) because Brahms wrote 4 symphonies. I agree that Beethoven's 4th piano concerto is a gem.
