Granados question, 12 Spanish dances
on: April 16, 2016, 11:08:15 PM
it appears that the twelve dances, some of the composer's favorite works, get listed both as opus 5 or opus 37 in different editions.  can anyone verify that, and they are the same works ?  thanks again for sharing the knowledge and help.

as much as my elderly eyes and semi-illiterate musical i.q. can ascertain, the scores seem identical for the pieces in op. 5 and op.37.  some of the extra notation might be different.  perhaps the rigourous musicologists who establish standardized opus numbers haven't bothered with granados.
