Chopin waltz in E Minor (posth)
on: April 23, 2016, 01:48:07 PM
Hi pianostreet.
I am having a little trouble with Chopin's waltz in E minor (posthumous) and was hoping to ask your advice.
Problem 1:
Bars 4 thru 7. I'm having a LOT of trouble with the broken chord in the left hand. I usually have no problem with broken chords of this kind and tbh I'm a little puzzled why I'm having such terrible trouble with it. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Problem 2:
Bars 25 thru 30. More of a question than a problem.
At the moment, I play all of the left hand, moving my left wrist as little as possible. So for bar 25, the fingering is 1, 35, 1. Not much movement required.
It sounds fine, it just feels ... odd. Am I doing it wrong?

I feel like I'm having most trouble with parts of these piece which are fairly easy compared to some of the other sections.

I would be very grateful for any advice
