Hi visitor, thanks for the comment. This is the first I've ever attempted of Szymanowski's works, it does make me eager to play more. I do know the opus 34 set but have not heard the mazurkas, I will look them up very soon though. I also enjoy what he wrote for piano and orchestra. The opus 33 etudes possess beautiful bitonal textures and I'm glad I learned to appreciate his music (it took me a bit I must admit) because it is refreshing and rich.
you're most welcome. also i hope others will see how great your upload is and weigh in as well.the mazurkas are magical, they are so quirky and exotic, you mentioned some eastern sounds influencing his music, i can see that at play in the first few bars of the first one
