Who's gone to Aspen Music School in the summer?  What's the environment like?  Any recommended teachers?  General comments?

(I'm interested in going there this or next summer...)

Frannymeow,

I haven't attended the Aspen music school for training, however, I have attended the summer concerts, visited the school, and know the town well.  It's a fabulous environment with world-class instructors, guest artists, and facilities.  Aspen itself is a quaint, chic ski town surrounded by mountains.  I think if you spent some time there it would be a memorable experience.

I hope I can maybe go. Probably not, though.  :-\

My teacher is one of the instructors at the Aspen Music Festival.
