for those who have played/are familiar with the piece, could you recommend some editions you think are worth looking at?

What do you mean by best? What do you normally look for in an edition?

I personally would probably look at the alfred masterworks edition. Its cheap, easy to read , good quality  and has pretty good annotations.in footer etc

theres a lot of printing of this out there, in a premium  publusher i might look at schott but honestly for the price,would get alfred. If you wantt to compare editions, best to check out several at library via interlibrary loan and compare them.
