Mark Applebaum Mad Scientist of Music - Boring Beethoven

This is a TED video.

Mark plays some Beethoven we've all played when we were starting and are totally bored by it now.

He discusses this and does a jazz improv on it that I thought was very yummy.

But what amazed me was his explanation how the original score was playing real time in his head and he's on the fly deciding what to do with it.

My brain simply will not work like that!
