Would you like to enter a piano competition at home?
on: September 16, 2016, 10:34:55 AM
Dear friend,
Would you like to take part in a piano competition at home via internet?
The Sixth Piano Composition Competition Fidelio is already open for inscription.
It's very easy to take part in this competition. It doesn't matter where you live or how far you are. All you have to do is to record your own piano piece freestyle no longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds (this is very important) and send the audio file to the following email address: concursofidelio@gmail.com In this competition there are contestants from many countries, your piano work will be heard by many pianists and composers of all styles and the particular thing about this competition is that you and the rest of entrants choose the winners of the prizes by means of a voting system published in the website. Each submission costs 9 euros or equivalent in dollars and the maximum of piano pieces allowed are four. There are five prizes, three of them in cash. In this competition when you vote, you only vote for the music without knowing the author nor his/her nationality. This is only known at the end of the competition when the final results are given. You can also participate with pseudonym if you prefer. The deadline for submissions of works is October the 30th 2016 Here is the link you must enter to read all about the Sixth Piano Composition Competition Fidelio. Finally, I apologize for my mistakes in English. I am from Madrid (Spain) I am at your disposal to solve all your doubts in case you consider sending a piano piece. You will be very welcome!

With best wishes

Out of curiosity, I checked this website and found no winners of previous events.  I engaged in 'live chat' where I asked the question and received the following response 'They have been deactivated for awhile'.  and 'I only post them when the competition is open, as some people may not think they can win if they hear the previous competitions'.

This seems not credible-- this is the 6th competition, but no list of winners nor recordings is to be found for competitions 1-5?   The offer was made that I could receive 'a link' to the previous winners but if they are posted on the website, 'I will receive the same kind of entries'.

I am sorry to tell you that you are not right because all recordings can be heard in the list of participants from previous competitions. The winners are only post at the end of each competition when the competition ends. You are free to participate or not of course, but please respect the organization of this competition.

Really?  Where is the list of winners from the previous competitions to be found on your website?
I am not talking even about recordings, but about just the list?   Yes, recordings are posted... but these are by participant, alphabetically.  This only means that these people have paid.

With what you have posted on your website, nor your explanation of the omissions,  there is no credibility in the past events but yet you post here looking for pianists who will pay to enter

everyone certainly can check out your website and draw their personal conclusions.

It was not my intention not to show it, because people could look for it in the site. Best. Antonio
