Rachmaninoff Etude Tableau Op. 39 no.5
on: September 28, 2016, 01:06:31 PM
I posted a prelude by Rachmaninoff yesterday, but failed to make a proper introduction.  My name is Menachem Har-Zahav and I am a touring concert pianist.  I've played in the US, UK, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Germany.  I currently live in Germany and play about 60-70 concerts per year depending on how many can be scheduled.  I don't mind telling people that my wife does the arranging and promoting of all the concerts I play.  In other words, this is all DIY, but I am able to do it full-time without any teaching.

I'm trying to establish an online presence as this seems to be the wave of the future.  I have recordings and videos on youtube and am currently looking for other avenues to take.

The Etude Tableau posted here comes from my 2014 album "Piano Classics".  It was recorded in Heek, Germany.  The recording engineer is Mattheus Rauland and was played on a Steinway D.  Enjoy!
