I've been on the verge of replying to your "Audition Room" threads numerous times (but I'm kind of lazy). But now I just need to tell you that I'm really happy about this great news. That is a marvelous piano in incredibly good conditions (has it been stored 80 years waiting for you or what!?) Thank goodness it ended in your hands. Lucky you, lucky piano, and lucky us who enjoy your playing...PS I wouldn't mind at all if you record Rach's second sonata again now hehe. In all seriousness, I'm really expectant about your next recordings (whatever it is you're planning to record).PPS Perhaps this is the right moment for asking you to reconsider that introduction at the beggining of your videos? I don't really HATE it lol, it's just that I'd rather not be distracted by that snippet of music before the real music begins. Perhaps remove the audio and leave the visuals? Just a suggestion, I'll keep enjoying your videos anyway.
speaking for all of us who've enjoyed your recordings, can't imagine the piano finding a better home than with you. it looks like a heating vent under the piano -- will you be monitoring the room to keep it from getting too dry when the heat goes on, or are you going hard core and doing without heat ? your neighbors are very lucky to hear you playing and especially now with the bechstein.
Congratulations! I´m jealous!
That's awesome !! And C.Bechstein would be pretty close to my top pick if I were to upgrade my old vintage grand. Your C. Bechstein sounds like a C. Bechstein too, one of the benefits of it being original, congrats !
That piano seem immaculate for it's years !You asked what my grand was, it's an 1898 Henry F. Miller. These pianos were American made in Boston at the time, they were well rated and respected, dubbed the poor mans Steinway. Much of their design , especially in frame was Steinway inspired. My 6' HFM sounds someplace between a Steinway M and O, it's a very decent instrument but it is not a C.Bechstein. C.Bechsteins have that beautiful slight nasal tone to them, you can't mistake the sound of them. Even so , when my tunings turn out as I like them on my HFM, I'm still satisfied . I've owned it for about 35 years now.
No, sorry but I don't do video's.
sicckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkcan I borrow it?
I hope yours works out better for you than mine did for me. I bought a similar one and couldn't stop it making noises, so now I have a very cheap, hard seat, but at least I can make recordings without squeaking.
Can I have your carpet? The bench looks good! How is the Bechstein now that you have been playing it for some time?
