F. Liszt - Sonata in B minor - Enzo
on: December 01, 2016, 04:56:00 AM
&feature=youtu.be

Please allow this proud dad to post his son's unpublished Sonata in B minor by Liszt which he performed last August in an all Liszt Recital here in Manila.  Personally I feel this is an an unhurried Sonata in B minor where he tries to stamp his interpretation, and to a certain extent,  I feel he has succeeded. I could sense he poured his heart out as he was playing this . . . I did not realize this piece could bring me to a range of intense emotions ...

His American experience did him well.  He will graduate with a BM in piano performance at Eastman this coming May 2017.  He tells me he will take a Master's in music ... somewhere :) ... mixed emotions here.  Like any parent ....  our love and wishes to his success.

Thank you for listening and wish you could "stand the whole 32 minutes" ... not really that bad though  ;)  OBSERVATIONS/comments are MOST welcome.

Thanks ! ! !  I am also so glad that he is making progress too.

For a young man to suddenly be alone in a "liberal" country (compared to the conservatism in our country) and still manage not to be distracted and to be very focused and driven to his studies is already quite a success as far as his parents are concerned.  We have our fingers crossed that he gets into a quality Masters program.   THANKS again. :)
