Sergei Bortkiewicz - Prelude op. 33 no. 7
on: December 24, 2016, 10:07:59 PM

A little piece by Sergei Bortkiewicz, a Ukrainian composer who in my opinion wrote a lot of great, rarely played, music for the piano. I hope you all enjoy this piece and your respective holiday celebrations!

Best,
William

Thank you William, this is a wonderfully layered performance bringing all the warmth of Bortkiemicz's characteristic overflowing late romantic voice. I can say I really enjoyed the prelude and my introduction to your great pianism.

Let me correct that: Actually a reintroduction to your playing. Visiting your youtube page I remember I have heard your Ornstein, probably at Piano World. Yes, we have similar musical interests.
