Who is your favorite contemporary composer?
on: December 25, 2016, 11:39:50 AM
Hi all,

4 years ago, I started composing original piano music. However, I just know very few contemporary composers. So I would really appreciate it if you could tell me who is favorite composer and what distinguish him/her the most?

Here is one of my original compositions, I would really love to hear your feedback and comments in every aspect of the performance :D

This is the 3rd thread with your composition. Your spamming is annoying, also underestimates our intelligence, which is something stupid to do... Are you sure you are a pianist?  :P
French Suite in C minor, J.S. Bach
Sonata in D major, Hob XVI.37, J. Haydn
1ere Arabescue, Cl. Debussy
Trois Nouvelles Etudes, Fr. Chopin
22 Chants et Danses du Dodecanese, Yannis Konstantinidis

nm - I had a re-read and changed my mind about what I posted.

Only one thing: "Are you sure you're a pianist".  The OP has not stated in any of his posts that he is a pianist, only that he had x number of years of piano lessons.

What is the problem of asking a question about ur favorite composers and then taking ur opinion on my composition??? I don't know why people are so offensive on this forum, I am just asking ur opinion and feedback to progress,

And yes I am a pianist I've been playing the piano for 9 years and I have entered trinity college London piano exams and passed grade 1 to 8. I have also studied music in french Baccalaureate.

The problem?  If others want to ask questions about favorite composers or repertoire, they don't tag on their own composition as a 'oh, by the way'.  Others don't post the composition four times within a few minutes.   Post it once in the audition room and you will get an audience; post it three or four times, and it will fall on deaf ears.

I am a double major student in graphic design and computer engineering. I am also passionate about music and studied music by practicing for trinity college London piano exams and I passed grade 1 to 8. I don't really understand why people on this forum are so don't want to answer the a original question

I posted it only because it is related to the theme of the question, I didn't know that it was forbidden to take others opinion? and my composition is related to the 4 questions but in different ways so I posted it several times. Moreover, I really ask genuine questions that I really want people to answer, I am not forcing anyone to watch my video (and it isn't off topic)

Did you answer any of my questions before and I didn't reply. Spamming means that someone is posting several times (off-topic) while not caring about the answers. However, I reply to most of the feedback, comments and suggestions of my posts.

and yes I am a pianist !!!

I apologize for any inconvenience but I didn't intend to annoy anyone, I just post my video when it is related to the theme of the question. I really appreciate your understanding
