The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

[HD] Video Keichi Okabe - Song of The Ancients
on: January 02, 2017, 01:42:23 AM
Wishing you all an exceedingly joyful and prosperous new year !!  :)
Lot of irons in the fire as of late, playing catch up on some stuff I worked on. There's a few versions  of this published and I working on the others as well with hopes of sharing this year.

2017 is an important year for the Nier franchise as we are slated to finally get next chapter in March with Nier automata, so I am celebrating by playing around with these alongside my other assigned pieces from my teacher.

Once again, you have done a great job in stifling out european culture with superior otaku culture music.  8) 8) 8) 8)

Nice playing, am also looking forward to seeing Nier, hopefully it will be as good as it is in the trailers! I just got a PS4 and one of the games I'm currently playing is Bloodborne, the soundtrack in it is freaking epic.

Have you looked into FF15's music yet? It is supposedly very good.

Hi Visitor:

Wishing you the best in every way for 2017.  On a personal level, your input to this forum is much appreciated: because of you, I have been exposed to, and grown to love, many new composers and repertoire,  and added much to my 'to do' list.

Great job with this repertoire  :)

mjames, thanks man!
I have got to get some new gear, don't yet have next gen console to get into ffxv, new nier, and later this year the kingdom hearts III and eventually the FFVII HD remake.  I will most def check out Bloodborne, thanks for the head's up, and yeah, been watching the final fantasy xv music for a while, I"m a fanatic for Shimomura and her work on Kingdom Hearts is some of the finest in the VGM space, I hope Square Enix releases a good piano album. This is an anniverssary year for them, 30 years for the FF franchise, they did a lot of piano music in 2012 for the 25th birthday, so I hope they don't drop the ball on this one. Something to watch closely for sure!

Thank you lafo, and I  really appreciate your kind remark and compliment to my playing :)

dogperson, I am happy some of my repertoire and obscure music shenanigans and efforts are not completely lost on all!  ha, if anything, just happy some of my interest helps bring some music to light that might otherwise go unoticed. Thanks for your nice words.

Really appreciate your compliment on the piece, motivates me to improve and discover more!
