Hi sapphire!

Well I'm not really interested in Eminem but I read in this magazine that his real name is Marshall Mathers, and he started rapping as M&M. Later he changed to Eminem and created his evil alto ego, Slim Shady. I guess there's some controversy about him but I don't think there's that much...like when he rapped about Chris Kirkpatrick in 'Without Me', Chris Kirkpatrick didn't care. I dunno...

Maybe he chose that name not only because it's a different spelling to M&M, but also it's got the name Mini-Me in it? Hehehehe!

Eminem's rise to stardom was far from easy. After being born in Kansas City and traveling back and forth between KC and the Detroit metropolitan area, Eminem and his mother moved into the Eastside of Detroit when he was 12. Switching schools every two to three months made it difficult to make friends, graduate and to stay out of trouble.

Rap, however, became Eminem's solace. Battling schoolmates in the lunchroom brought joy to what was otherwise a painful existence. Although he would later drop out of school and land several minimum-wage-paying, full-time jobs, his musical focus remained constant.

Yeah Eminem had a hard childhood - his rapping refers to his dark past quite a lot. And he's not on good terms with his mum, dad, or ex-wife Kim...but apparently they're living together again.

Lea,

I think you can get in even though you're under 18. Or you could get someone who is over 18 to buy you a ticket, which is what some of my friends do...
