How difficult is this piece?
on: January 21, 2017, 07:15:19 AM
Which grade would you consider this piece to be in? Which pieces in the classical repertoire would you consider similar in difficulty? After how many years of playing the piano would you attempt this piece? What are the technical difficulties which stand out?

Here are the sheets: https://sheet.host/sheet/jTRT2O

Can someone please try to gauge the difficulty? I can not find anything elsewhere on the internet. :(

When I download the score, it is marked as a 5.

On Sheethost, there are 6 difficulty levels, out of which this is marked as a 5. As far as I know, this does not have any relation to any other grading system.

Since I'm not at the level to judge the actual difficulty of the arpeggios, syncopation, extra voices, etc., I was hoping someone could judge the difficulty based on the score.

The first time I heard the piece, I thought it was manageable, but once I tried playing it, I got stuck. I guess it's just much harder than it sounds.
