This is my performance of Masashi Hamauzu's 5th Etude in C major. The study is centered on large arpeggiated chords. It's easier than Chopin's Etude no. 11, op. 10.

Any constructive criticism on my playing? One thing to improve on is making the arpeggio's smoother and softer.

Any comment on what you think of this music is also appreciated as these etudes are really new and are basically unknown at this point. Thanks!!!

I've also recently discovered these etudes.
It sounds like interesting stuff, although until now I haven't listened too much accurately and only the very first piece caught my attention.
Now thanks to your video I'll remember also this fifth one :) I'll have to listen again to the whole thing.
I think you did a very nice job.
Are you going to tackle the other pieces in the set?

That is a jolly little piece. I wouldn't worry about smoothness as its sprightly nature makes a bit of rough playing all to the good.

Very refreshing with some jazzy overtones at times.

Well done.

Love his music and the etudes are pretty neat
You played well and Hamauzu is always welcome imho.
Keep on

I for some.reason, though i like these in general, cannot find myself interested enough to buy the score yet, have not completely fallen for them yet, i think they are good but not his best work.
Now his music from Paulette's Chair, that is awesome, i have been needing to import buy that one for a while.
