Hello,

I have posted a piano version of Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses) if you want to check it out and leave a comment (Sheet+midi included in the link):

I love it. Nice arrangement. If I may make a suggestion that you get the tempo a bit more rock solid but otherwise some very nice playing.  I am curious as to why you chose to transpose it.
You are a fan of George Winston? If not you should be.

Thanks a lot dcstudio, sure there has to be some ways to make the tempo more accurate I guess. I chose it after listenning to a few accoustic covers of the song and found out that it was transposing smoothly to piano when I tried.

I did not know George Winston, are there any resemblance in my cover perhaps?

Stylistic similarities. Listen to him, I do believe you will enjoy his music.

By transposing I meant why did you choose this key as it is not the original. Just curious as you are an ear player without a whole lot of formal training..? I am assuming. Lessons perhaps but not a lot of theory?   You are quite talented and you play very well. It's your words that tell me  more about you then your playing.
As pianists we often think that playing more notes and playing them very fast makes great music. Sometimes it does...but not always.

Well spoted dcstudio, you got all the autodidact part right (few lessons/little or forgotten theory) and strong belief in ear playing.

-For the key change, it is a pragmatic change, easier key for me in terms of finger positions and most people will not see a difference unless they check with the original or know it very well so I went for it.

-I will check George Winston. for the "too many notes" I used to believe the more notes/fast the better as well especially when I was 5-6 years younger but did tend to lower those to try to better master rythm and place notes when relevant (if you meant that in your comment)?

-Do not hesitate to share your covers in case you do some.

Just click my link at the bottom for my YT. I have vids going back 10 years. 40 in all...1.7 million views. Lol.  Sorry I know I am being a bit of a braggart.

Here is one of my more recent...from a gig I did a ways back.  Hey...you should always ask members to back up their statements.

I did check some of your videos from the channel, very nice jazz playing there".
Yes I saw that some of the videos had some success (I guess we pianists are all braggart somewhere in a way:). I had a good time listenning to some pieces there.

Well at least now you know I play. I have played for decades and I will say again that you are very talented. I am one of the very few jazzes that hang out here. I was myself very classically trained but I defected to jazz a long time ago. I still maintain my formal chops but for me the money is elsewhere. No concert pianist here... 8)

Thanks, I appreciate it coming from a confirmed pianist.

-Yes Jazz is not that common on forums, I am myself quiet classical oriented although I enjoy jazz from here and there like on your channel.
