Thank you for posting, I found this interesting as it's the 3rd similar thing I've come across recently, which talks about fixed/vs growth mindset. My teacher talks a lot about deliberate practice and it's only in the last few months I've come to apply it. As an adult returner to piano 2 years ago it took a while for me to learn how to practice and to break my bad habit which was just play over and over and hope I would improve. As my teacher says 'playing is the fun bit, practice is hard' I now feel I am improving much more by practicing efficiently.
