Quite happy with the performance!

YAMAHA Piano Salon, NYC, February 7, 2017

Hungarian Rhapsody No 9
Weinen Klagen Zorgen Zagen (short version)
Gnomenreigen
Valse on 2 motives from Lucia and Parisina (after Donizetti)

I was the very first contestant, sadly the audio gain was set too high, it was fixed for the later contestants.

My Cliburn live selection round was yesterday, had a far better HR 9, but sadly - no recording or live stream.

Really very good. A couple of loose moments perhaps in the HR, but I can have no complaints about the rest. Gnomenreigen was for me the highlight, with lots of rhythmic vitality. Bravo.

damn this stuff is good! I wonder if I'll ever manage to reach these heights. Recording simple pieces in front of a camera is already putting me in a terribly unpleasant "oh no I'm gonna do a mistake anytime now" state, I can only imagine what playing such hardcore repertory in front of a public would be like. Kudos to you!
