Difficulty Jardins sous la pluie

Hi everyone. I was wondering how difficult Debussys jardins sous la pluie is considered to be; what other pieces would you say are of comparable difficulty? How is it in difficulty compared to for example the Chopin ballades and scherzo? What Beethovrn sonata(s) are of comparable difficulty and what other pieces by debussy? Thanks in advance

Hi! I would say it is nothing comparable to the Chopin ballades or Beethoven sonatas, the skills required are way too different in my opinion. I feel like it is easier to play than the Ballades because of the way it is written, but then again it is because it fits the way I play. If your strenght is in performing impressionist music, I would say go for it. I think that it is of a similar/slightly lower difficulty than Ravel's Sonatine or Jeux d'eau, or Debussy's Images.

I would suggest sight reading through it to see if there are any major difficulties for you. Remember that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses so someone's ranking of pieces maybe be different than yours.
