Fluent, good tempo choice, consistent sound in the prelude . . . bravo!

Three thoughts:

1) In the prelude, give us a little more of the bass line and perhaps slightly less RH.

2) In the fugue, beware of overly romantic, soloistic gestures like big rubati around leaps and bulges in sound, i.e. big crescendos in a small amount of time.

3) Again in the fugue, take care to think linearly constantly . . . occasionally, a subject entry sounds like a succession of downward strokes rather than a line.

On the whole, however - nicely done!

I so enjoyed both the Prelude and the Fugue! I felt the Prelude was rhythmically driven, which I love in Bach, and the Fugue was very clean and articulate. Great work

Thanks for the input! :) I will do my best to improve it in the next recording :)

Great playing! Just my two cents below:

I really loved how clean and steady (technically and rhythmically) your Prelude was. Perhaps now you can take more risks with it? It's easy to make the Prelude sound motoric, but maybe now you make the hidden melodies in the right and left (and their interaction) stand out a bit more, to add some more colour into it. Personally, I like to practise this Prelude in block chords (like a chorale) so as to get a feel for the changing harmonies and inner melodies. Also, a lot of the Preludes can be imagined as a dance, so that's worth thinking about.

Fugue was really enjoyable too, and your choice of tempo was great. Not too much to say that hasn't already been said, but if possible, hold the notes for at least most of their given values, especially in the middle voices - this will make the voices much more coherent. Even though I do like to play the fugue with a bit of rubato in some places, I'd prefer the tempo to be a bit more constant - this will link up the subjects and episodes a bit better. Also listen out to your pedalling - it's already pretty good, but there's always room for improvement!

Nice job man, it's takes some courage to ask strangers on the internet to comment on one's Bach :)

As ever, a great performance.

No offence meant, but I simply love your fingers; they are so long!

You were born to play the piano.
