La La Land jazz fact check
on: May 18, 2017, 05:11:04 PM
I was wondering.   Some parts sounded like someone writing, romanticizing about music who isn't in music.  And then other times I was thinking, "Hey, wait... That's not actually jazz at all."

Still wondering if Gosling is just imitating the movements for playing piano but the actual sound is someone else. He would just have to look like he was playing but the sound could be edited, like dubbing over vocals.

I can't imagine someone surviving long if they got hired but didn't want to play the music they were hired to perform.   ::)  I've always heard you need to be ready to perform any style and don't want to get stuck in one style.  And then to give the person who hired you attitude?  Haha... Next time they just hire someone else.  :-*
