Something different...
on: June 01, 2017, 08:01:25 PM
I wrote this yesterday and I'll finish it up after work tonight but I wanted to know your thoughts. It's all performed on my keyboard (Korg sv-1) and I just layered each instrument to build myself a "Rock Orchestra". It's a fusion of baroque, jazz, rock, blues and soul... (or something like that). Enjoy!

That's good work. Not convinced by some fusion / crossover stuff in general (a tendency to veer into noodling territory) but this is well-focused and effective.

Thank you! What I enjoy most is that it's still an Improvisation. Although it has the structure of a composition, nothing was planned and each voice is a direct response to previous subject line. A "comprovisation" for lack of a better word. Cheers,

Nick

Yes, it's impressively coherent for an improvisation. It's not easy to keep a command of structure whilst simultaneously remaining "free".
