The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Wow... um... I'm new and ignorant and this forum rocks.  Hi!

Generally speaking, music written in the last hundred years is copyrighted, not public domain (in the U.S., at least).

I don't think you'll find a free copy of the sheet music, unless you go to a university music library and check out a copy.

Careful.  That piece certainly has jazz inflections, but I would be hesitant to call it jazz...  ::)

yes, sheetmusic archive...
In the good old days there werent any restrictions.
I printed out (free printing at school) ALL sheets from Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Schumann, Joplin, Saint Saens, and lots of Bach.
I secretly had to refill the papertray and the laser had to be replaced!  :-[

Of couse i prefer decent editions, but these ones are free.
Now i buy good editions from dump stores, so have lots of music twice. If anybody in Holland wants to buy them  ;)

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
