If I remember correctly, the registration page says:

MEMBERSHIP TO PIANO FORUM ONLY OPEN OT PIANO TEACHERS, PROFESIONAL PIANISTS OR COLLEGE STUDENTS....

Dont have anything against you all, but it would really be nice if a place like that actually existed since I think the chance to make this happen here is long gone.... any chance of a separate topic for the teachers, pros and college level students?
For a good laugh, check out my posts in the audition room, and tell me exactly how terrible they are :)

I, for one, think that that is ridiculous. I think that this forum should be open to anyone seeking help on piano. I do agree, however, that it is annoying when people come here only to chat, and never say anything relevant to the purpose of this forum - piano.

A part of me knows where youre coming from, but a much larger part of me hates what you are saying because it sounds so contemptuous and snobby.  Come on, there is already enough snobbery surrounding the image of classical music without you wanting to come and separate the professionals.

You know, there are many lawyers, business people, etc who play the piano very well and have a lot to say here at the forum.  Just because you dont depend on music to pay your taxes doesnt make you a bad musician.
