INFO needed

Hey everyone.. thanks to those who replied to my question yesterday.... im going in for my university music audition.. and my 5 pieces are by the following composers... i know they willl ask me to say a little of each one.. can anyone sum up some key points about the music style etc.. of the following:

1) bach 2) mozart 3) mendelssohn 4)beethoven 5) debussy

well, really the best idea is to read a few books on these composers yourself or search the net.

can give advices on the pieces but not really a biogaphy of each composer.
auditioning for uni is a big one...should seek info from your teacher

Did you want info about the composer or about interpreting the piece?  Frederic has got some good advice, as always.

Hey guys... sorry for the confusion.... frederic.. please.. and thank you.. can you help me with the interpretation of my pieces i guess.. the whole. format.. like the sonata allegro form.. of beginning..middle..recapituation..etc etc.. things like that.. if u can even give me a sense of what to think about...or some imagery...aNYTHING Really.. so that i can play with some development of passion... i hope this makes sense.. thank you   my pieces are:
- Sonata in G major - Mozart (1st movement)
- 1st arabesque - Debussy
- op.28 n.15 - beethoven
- prelude + fugue 14  - bach - book 1.
- Song without words op.38 n.6 - mendelssohn

Hey amy,

I've toyed with Debussy's 1st arabesque but haven't  played it seriously.  The overall mood is dreamy at times but also thoughtful, in a way.  Can't really say much interpretation-wise, since I've only delved into it shallowly.  Just play freely but also approach it from Debussy's angle and think how he would have wanted it played.
