Night- A Nocturnal Piano improvisation

A convincing piece, the more so for using simple vocabulary. To say a lot through restricted means is always a challenge in improvising but this one fares quite well. The overall mood is certainly doleful, with the night seeming more symbolic than factual, the implication deeper than the directly impressionistic, but optimism, or perhaps simply acceptance breaks through around the fifteen minute mark.
