Hello Matthew,

Thank you for posting this excellently played Beethoven 32 variations, a "favorite" in competitions and graduate school applications.  Although I am not a pianist, (I grew up immersed into it and nurtured, supported a son who is now in graduate school at ESM), I must say you play with a lot of conviction and confidence. I am always in envy for having been born awkward in the piano.

Although your video is a full body view, which includes the feet,  as required by some schools, it does not clearly show the hands/fingers on the keys.  It might be a small thing and seems on the area of splitting hairs, but believe it or not, I am almost sure of at least one top school which is such a stickler to the details of the requirements.

Thank you for your kind comments!  I realized the issue about my hands not being in the shot after the fact. As I am only provided a limited amount of recording time each semester, I had to settle on this take. My other recordings include full view of my hands (definitely learnt from my mistakes!)
