"3" - an improvisation for 3 electric pianos
on: December 31, 2017, 05:16:46 PM
Some neat counterpoint in this one. The piece is based on the interval of a third.

The contrapuntal aspect is strong, but for me the main interest lies in the phrasal and rhythmic transitions. The accents are unstable with respect to any underlying metric, always a sign of life to me, avoiding the square-toed, notational effect of much traditional counterpoint.
