Need some help with some Bach...
on: June 30, 2018, 06:11:23 AM
Hey,  8)

I was poking around in Wikipedia's English article on Johann Sebastian's concertos for 1, 2, 3 and 4 harpsichords and I noticed that, from BWV 1052 to 1064, the pics showing the beginning of each concert's movement seem to be solo keyboard arrangements, with occasional "orchestral fills". I already clicked on "More details" but the info there wasn't really much help, and the user who uploaded those pics doesn't seem to be active anymore.

Could anyone be so kind as to please have a look at them and hopefully let me know who's the arranger and/or where the complete sheets might be found? I already checked at IMSLP and there are a few piano solo arrangements of at least BWV 1052 and 1056, but they don't match the ones shown in the Wikipedia article. Here's the link to it, by the way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_concertos_by_Johann_Sebastian_Bach

Cheers!
M.W.

Sorry, but those aren't the beginnings of solo keyboard arrangements but rather incipits taken from from Volume 46 of the old BGA (Thematic Catalogues and Indexes).

I knew it was too good to be true...  :(
Oh well, no biggie. Thank you very much for the help, man!

Very best,
M.W.
