First read through of my fugue performed on piano
on: July 10, 2018, 02:52:35 PM
I posted this a few months ago in a computer-generated sound recording made by Klavieronin. It was written 38 years ago and never performed. Here is a recording performed on a piano.
The pianist has worked on this only a little, but the recording gives a good idea how the piece sounds. This is the 2nd take of her first complete rough read though that she has done. She was just trying to see if she could get through the piece without stopping. The recording equipment used is not good she also admits. She can only span an octave, making this much more difficult to play. This piece ideally requires a hand that can span a 10th.
I will repost this if the pianist does a polished recording hopefully with better recording equipment. She is an outstanding pianist and could provide an excellent performance of this if she had the time and motivation. I am very furtunate that she has shown interest in this piece. She may be interested in teaching this to her college piano students.
