Sergei Bortkiewicz - "The Butterfly"

This is a piece that I discovered casually thanks to the YouTube suggestions, and I immediately fell in love with it.

Still have issues with evenness in the right hand in a couple of parts, but I hope I managed to play it decently enough.

An attractive piece played well, it contains some nice changes, thanks for posting it. Pity David April (rachfan) appears to have left the forum, he would have liked that one by one of his favourite composers.

And such a pretty piece, does anyone have any other tips on what to listen to by Bortkiewitcz?

Thank you very much Ted and Thirtytwo.

From Bortkiewicz I can also the "Fontaine Lumineuse" etude and the first movement of his piano concerto number 2, which to my ears might have been a big inspiration for Star Wars' Imperial March tune.

the piano concerto (1), it's one of if not the best/finest "Romantic" styled concerto in the entire literature. yes, it's that dope.

No it isn't, it's pretty sh*t. Lacking in originality and inspiration. Heard way better.
