Da SDC has experienced a renaissance
on: October 06, 2018, 07:52:31 PM
https://www.dasdc.net/

For those who don't know, Da SDC has existed since 2004.
Founded by a bunch of piano nerds who didn't like the restrictive nature they perceived on other forums, they decided to start a community where a thoroughly strong passion for piano(particularly virtuosity and speed) and intelligent debate thrived with the freedom to also have a laugh and indulge in crude humour, swearing, and general lack of restraint. A very laid back feel.

Over the years it has survived but recently it has seemed to experience a renaissance of interest and is a very welcoming good-humoured community.

If anyone has been there in the past or never had a look around - please feel free to join.

I 100% respect the formal nature of a forum like Pianostreet, but Da SDC is a kind of antidote to that. Informal, relaxed, and a thoroughly good laugh!

Glad to know you’re still extant and playing, Opus10. It’s a sad world if we can’t have a bit  of fun with our music, and I do look at the SDC now and then. Trouble is, I know who most of them are, and they are all more than a little above my league as executants.

Indeed I am extant, not extinct!  8) ;D

That's not a trouble, we all vary in ability level.

The measure of our ability < The pleasure of our ability.

I'm not the best pianist but like other SDC members I pride myself in having passion for piano, music, and keeping that flame alive....and igniting the tinder in others  ;D
