French Music suggestions
on: October 26, 2018, 11:30:13 PM
I am preparing for a solo recital, and I am looking for a piece by a French composer to compliment the other three French pieces on my program: Faure Barcarolle No. 1 in A Minor and Oiseaux Triste and La vallee des cloches from Ravel's Miroirs. I am looking for something that won't take a whole lot of time to learn and isn't super technical. These are the pieces I have listened to and am considering:

Trois Novelettes by Poulenc
Suite Francaise by Poulenc
Six épigraphes antiques by Debussy (solo piano version)
Ballade by Debussy
La plus que lent by Debussy

I am open to any suggestions! Thank you in advance!

How about one of the slow Dusapin Etudes?
