Disclaimer -- I have no connections of any kind to Eastern Europe, to any Slavic peoples, etc. In other words I have no dog in this fight at all.

Does anyone have any objective information on why Lisitsa has so much contempt for one side (I think) in the Ukrainian civil rumpus? All I know is that part of the country is Ukrainian-speaking and the other part is Russian-speaking. What grounds of complaint exist toward the government?

In case it's not crystal clear to you, let me emphasize, all I want to hear is what LISITSA (and those she represents, for of course she's not alone) might say if she agreed to give a summary of clearly stated grievances. (I'm pretty sure she has never done that; it's not at all her style.)

I think this forum is actually a good place to start because I know there is a lot of interest in Lisitsa, and some of you are very well informed, and may therefore have links to reliable information of the kind that can't be found in the pathetic mainstream media.

Bloody heathen, you don't play any of Chopin, Scriabin or Rachmaninoff (well the latter's kinda understandable).

This summary seems reasonably objective: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentina_Lisitsa#Controversy
This is the book to read to understand the (horrific) historical context: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodlands
