J.S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue in F# Major
on: November 19, 2018, 02:28:01 PM
I would appreciate members listening to this Prelude and Fugue and let me know if you have any critique or comments. I performed this at a recital yesterday and have a big audition coming up in a few weeks where this will be the opening piece (one of six).

Thank you!

Hi
Did you have your audition?  If so, how did it go?

Hey, thank you for asking. Yes, I did. It was the performance exam for RCM Level 10 and I passed with marks that qualify me for the highest honors. The judge was really nice in her comments, too. Really happy with how everything went. I played this Bach, plus works by Beethoven, Grieg, Ibert and McIntyre.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
