*NEW* Jazz Piano: Pieces of the Puzzle w/Dave Frank
on: December 12, 2018, 03:49:04 PM
For interested jazz piano students *without* ADD, this 2 hour master class includes discussions on: solo playing vs. group, how to structure a practice routine, a LH comping master class, the secret of scat singing, improvising on a new tune, Blues piano, intro to chord mapping, Flow-phrase-breathe concept, slice of pizza, rootless vs rooted voicing, the essence of the improvised line, and too much more. Oy! who needs all this? Free

I watched it right through, as I always do with your videos. Although this one is a good deal more specialised than many of your previous classes, I found several points pertinent to my own music. I cannot help thinking you deserve much bigger audiences though, but at least this lot were more responsive, if a trifle restless. Thanks for posting.

thanks for writing Ted) The trip is now, the *bigger* audience is online haha. There were 10 people in the room that day, in the 24 hours it's been online 400 have watched some part of it! Online is where it's at, it also gets around the eternal jazz problem, which is no bread available for jazz people..thanks Bill Gates)
Blessings and keep swingin
