Thought Experiment: If you're a concert pianist...
on: December 17, 2018, 01:57:18 AM
If you ever become a concert pianist, what would your carnegie debut programme be like? Here's mine:

1. Chopin: Etude in C Major, Op. 10, No. 1
2. Godowsky: Study on Chopin's Etudes, Op. 10, No. 1 / Diatonic
3. Chopin: Ballade no. 4
4. Liszt: Transcendental Etude no. 10
5. Liszt: Ballade no. 2 in B minor

6. Rachmaninoff: Etude-tableau, Op. 39, No. 5
7. Rachmaninoff: Prelude in B minor, Op. 32, No. 10
8. Rachmaninoff: Oriental Sketch
9. Stravinsky: Three Movements from Petrushka
10. Hamelin: Variations on a Theme by Paganini

I would play Wolverine by Jelly Roll Morton and be done with it. ( I wish I could. Those parallel octaves are hard )
