Compare 3 Beethoven sonatas
on: February 06, 2019, 06:30:34 AM
Hey dear pianists,
I have to write a paper on Beethoven’s sonatas for a senior project and would appreciate your suggestions. I am writing on sonatas 21,23,26 and I am comparing and contrasting them. What are some main stylistic, technical, thematic, historical similarities and or differences that are often overlooked?
Thank you and have a nice day!

this channel might help you, he does pretty extensive but not too complex analyses in the description:
you can find the same for all three sonatas, and there are also multiple videos for the same sonata (but a different performer). Be sure to check all videos including the sonatas you need, because he tends to write new descriptions for different videos, although it's the same sonata
