Liszt Grand Etudes vs. 1838 Paganini
on: July 02, 2019, 08:04:24 AM
Ok, 4 questions:

1. Which is the hardest etude from Liszt's Grande Etudes?

2. Which is the hardest etude from Liszt's 1838 Paganini etudes?

3. Which is harder, Liszt's hardest Grand etude, or hardest Paganini etude?

4. Can you find Alkan or Mereaux etudes that can equal or exceed your answer in #3?

Thanks. I'm trying, for what it's worth, to be knowledgeable about some of tbe hardest pieces in the piano repertoire.
