Thanks for posting this, very interesting. As an unqualified amateur, I find it to have a steely brilliance, ideal for steely, brilliant pieces. Magnificent for Mazeppa but not so good for Feux Follets or Chopin 25/6 ?

I don’t know if it was the recording, but I played this piano a couple of years ago and  the sound between the two is completely different.  Steely now vs warm and rich.  I find this This recording tone grating.

it was surprisingly bright in the mid register but lacked a real powerful bass....


perhaps the hammers have gotten worn over the years?

even on Una Corda, it was bright to a fault, and not a particularly pleasant sound

still.... fun to try out at last!
