Hay age is not just a number the older you are the more is expected from you.
Am 25 and am sudenly expected to get married have a house  a careere , children and act like a old man. When i was 20 i thought 25 was 30 years away, but nooooooooo . Am sorry to sound negative but you may have less time with friends, and since you are working that much harder you dont have as much fun, and finally you may start to put on some weight go bald and ugly. You soon realise that it is all over if you have not planed your life properly. Well stand back and watch the younger ones take the spot light and listen to a 12 year old play the RACH 3 how depressing. All the best.

compared to a lot of us, you're still a baby.  enjoy it!  remember how it feels.  oddly, i still remember an exact day when i was 8 - near my grandparents house and walking in some field with flowers and the sun was out.  it seemed like the happiest day of my life - and i thought i should remember how it feels - so when i close my eyes i can remember almost every detail because i camera 'clicked it' in my head.

And more modest than ever with it, too, we note.

The thread topic, however, is "20." - but then perhaps you have 20/20 vision as well?...

What this thread needs is a good dose of perspective.

Here is a YouTube video of people from age 1 to 100 in order, each beating a drum.  You can see where you stand.

Who ever you are deep inside by 18 - 20 is who you will remain for a very long time. I've spoken to a few old people, and they all say its only when they look in the mirror that they realize they are 60 , 70 or 80.
I think age is largely other peoples perception of you, i mean how many times have you heard " o really is that how old you are, shoud you not ........." this that and the other,or " arn't you a little young to be....." this that and the other.  This is why people dislike growing old, we all think am still me ,why am i beeing treated this way,or looking this way. Nevertheless i believe growing old is better for guys.

I agree with every word in the post, though deep inside I don't think I've changed much since the age of 10. Life IS too short....

The 20s are the decade when a lot of people really screw up their life and have to spend their 30s fixing it.  Be careful!!  Decide what you want now before you screw anything up.  People mess up because they don't think about what they really want in life ahead of time.

One lesson I have learned--never put career first or your life will be empty.  People come first.

Yes life is not only short, but it could also end in a flash.

I believe the person we are as adults has obviously been shaped by our family, friends, life experience, where we live and so on. However the day we were born the person we are (or to be) like the colour of our skin is pre-determined, like someone told me recently, our cards have been delt very early in life.So yes it is very possible to be the same person you were when you were 10.
