Scriabin: two preludes op 16
on: October 26, 2019, 06:07:51 PM
Hello :)

I am trying to record a bit more frequently,  so here's my recent one: two of the preludes  from op 16 by Scriabin.

Lovely pieces. Nice playing too, and sound, with the caveat that I'm hearing (on notepad atm), both through mic and headphones, a really odd echoey half-buzz type effect, almost as if you've placed the recorder on a surface where it's also picking up a vibration from itself. The first ten or so seconds of the second prelude are especially odd.

Thanks you for your reply!
I think your ears Re simply superior to mine in these things, because I don't particularly notice something too strange. I make some sounds when playing, but I don't think those are the sounds you're hearing.  Hmm... but thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed the playing :)

Lovely playing.  I like your sensitivity in using the pedal.

I'm also hearing a buzz in the recording.  Could be sympathetic vibration from the camera resting on something, or something very near the mics.  Try putting the camera on something soft, like a blanket.  Also try using a tripod (if not already), that will also be of help eliminating recording buzz.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
