Good on you Andrew, that is sure to give your music a kick. Yes, optimal recording in an ordinary room takes several days to find because of the many different combinations of parameters. There are those on the devices themselves, there are those involving position, and there are options with the piano and the room. The consolation is that the exercise only has to be done once. It is a necessary chore though because you might find, as I did, that the setup which gives the best sound is not at all an obvious choice.
