Hello everyone,

Yesterday I continued my weekly uploading challenge. This time was a bit special as I had to learn the piece in just two days.
I hope you enjoy :)

I like your touch and how you approach the piano in the fourth line, has a lot of meaning and sensitivity. But I am not sure about the arpeggios and the sforzati don't get enough emphasis in my view. I always found it difficult to play those two forte-figures in the fifth line what Mendelssohn wants to say with this, it's unusual.

Thank you for your reply. Some of the dynamics are weird indeed... And I'm not sure I agree with them, at least not in this interpretation.

First it's about the general character, which I changed. It usually goes quite a bit faster which makes it sort of optimistic and forward looking. Then maybe those fortes can fit. But mine is now nostalgic and very calm, in which I don't think they do.
Second is a question one has to ask. The answer will become either "it hasn't been any proper forte in the entire piece, of course there has to be forte here" or "it hasn't been a forte in the entire piece, of course I can't play one first now". It comes in quite many pieces, especially romantic ones, and I guess it's just interpretation.

Or, I played it only for a few days and haven't figured it out yet 😅

Thanks again for commenting.
