Hamish Milne (1939-2020)
on: February 16, 2020, 10:47:50 PM
Sad to hear of the death earlier this week after a long illness of the Scottish/English pianist Hamish Milne, who was especially known and admired for his promotion of the music of Nikolai Medtner (1880-1951).

RIP.

Best,

Alistair

Thomas Ang is a superb pianist and studied w Milne and he uploaded a transcription of his just  hours ago as the sad news came to light

Curiously, another of Hamish's students just sent me a .pdf of that very transcription!
