With all this self isolation I have a lot of free time and was wondering if you guys have any recommendations of books about piano (ie: composers, etc.).

"Piano Shop on the Left Bank" by Thad Carhart is a great little novel for piano lovers. I also enjoyed "The Great Pianists" by Harold C Schonberg.

A couple of good novels in which music and the piano play an important , if not central, role:

The Last Samurai by Helen DeWitt and
The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera

Beethoven:  His Spiritual Development - J.W.N. Sullivan

Absolutely engrossing.  I've never sensed such authority emanating
from a writer's words.  His perception and understanding regarding Beethoven
and his works are incredible.  It's available on Amazon.
