Cliburn competition rep
on: April 15, 2020, 06:57:49 PM
okay guys the application is due in October and since I'm kinda stuck at home I'm thinking to myself why not try preparing for it. Even if I don't make it to the first round, being able to just be in the position of submitting a well put together application would be a huge accomplishment for me. I'm almost 25 so I have two chances to take a crack at it.
In any case here's the rep (not in order)
Screening rep 40 minutes:
Gaspard
Bach f minor prelude and fugue book 1
Souls of Alkebulan: Lost treasures, Warrior Dance
first round 40 minutes:
Sriabin 3 (20)
commissioned piece (6)
Bach B minor prelude and fugue from book 1 (12-15) (learning)
second round 40 minutes:
Gaspard (23)
Scriabin nocturne op 62 (
(learning)
souls of Alkebulan: Lost Treasures, Warrior Dance (9)
Final round 60 minutes
Rachmaninoff moment musicals (30)
Appassionata (25)
Ligeti Arc en Ciel (4) or a chopin nocturne idk
concertos:
Mozart 20 (learning now)
Beethoven 5? haven't started
Rach 3
so most of the rep is already taken care of. Let me know what you think
